BRUTALIST BOLLARDS AND PILLARS OF CONTENTION

A spatial installation by Practise Studio Practise

While all Brutalist buildings come under vehement scrutiny in their lifetimes, they are immovably solid. Physically monolithic. Assertive beyond insult. They are like this because they all reside on strong foundations. Architecturally: concrete and steel. Aesthetically: simple and repetitive. Functionally: open and vast. At the base of their success and/or demise is a range of supporting factors.

For the Brutalist Block Party, Practise Studio Practise have created a series of Brutalist Bollards and Pillars of Contention that nod to the bold architectural movement.
